repetitive logs in domoticz

#1 Post by przemek63 » 22 Jun 2020, 16:04

Hello

If espeasy has the domoticz http controller configured and the "send to controler"
for the relay is checked, then it is normal for the domoticz logs to look like this:

Code: Select all

How do you think it can be configured so that if there is no change of state then there is only one record in the log?

21/5000
is it good idea ?

Well, that is completely against the nature of logging. Logging is to be sent out of, and away from, a system or application, to prevent being compromised when that system/application goes down in flames or something. So trying to compress multiple lines into 1 before sending is more the job of a log storage system (syslog server), though most don't do that by default.

You probably have your log level set to Debug. You'd better scale it down to Info or Error to avoid too much log messages. The Domoticz http Controller has 1 place where a log message is produced on Debug level, that might be what you are seeing here.
