uPyEasy is going NB-IoT!

Currently uPyEasy is local only, meaning that it's bound to a single Wifi AP due to it's settings.
To make uPyEasy
mobile, meaning you can take your device
ANYWHERE without changing settings, it's going to support NB-IoT (

Currently i'm talking to T-Mobile to investigate how to use their (currently free developer) NB-IoT service, so that the uPyEasy module can move freely in the entire country.
For hardware this ESP32 module is in the picture:

It has an onboard sim-card holder, so it's small and versatile. This board already supports micropython, making it easy for us to support it.

Lots of potential! Expensive at present, but price will no doubt fall as it becomes more widely used.

Hi Lisa,
now we have esp32 boards with LORA and NB-IOT.
Do you think we can setup a common interface layer, i.e. something to support TCP/IP, so we can use MQTT from anywhere ?
Or they're only serial, point-2-point simple protocols ?

In short, it support both COAP as well as UDP/IP. Although i haven't got the specs yet, i suspect you'll a bridge between portal/api and domoticz (or any other domotica server). Similar to the NetAtmo bridge currently working in domoticz. It's not tcp based, it's message based.

Chrome -> install google translate extension-> translate page -> done
I use it all the time for Chinese...

Is there really still anyone who can't read Dutch?

Dutch is a beautiful language, but it's a true nightmare for automated translators, since any combination of words can be joined to form a new word.
And almost every other sentence is an expression, not a translatable sentence, so you'll need a dyke of a programmer to write such a translator.
Unfortunately most of then don't bake anything from it and then you cannot knot any rope to it.
So, I hope that now you get the taste to catching for Dutch. It is but that you know it

There is a much better online translator though, its actually scary good.
