is the DS1820 a supported device ?

#1 Post by uxhamby » 27 Jan 2017, 03:35

HI,

I am not having any success reading DS1820 temperature sensors with ESPeasy flashed ESP03's. I am running ESPeasy V9 Build 120 and I can read the DS18B20's but not the non 'B' version. ESPeasy seems to see something is there but reports a onewire rom value of 00:00:00 . . . .

I read here in that there used to be an issue with non B versions but it was apparently fixed, or that is what I get out of what was said.

Can anyone put me straight, is the DS1820 a supported device ? If so, are there any special steps to accommodate them?

Thanks,

Brian H.

It's worth trying both active and passive power.
I've only used the b version but, oddly, some would only work one way or the other.
