EspEasy Stuck at login screen

#1 Post by vj_v1 » 01 Apr 2017, 16:14

I flashed my sonoff to espeasy 120 first. It worked for a bit, i configured by wifi and was fiddling with MQtt setting. It went non responsive all of a sudden and Serial console says trying to connect but failing.

I checked available wifi network on my phone and started to see Esp_0 again. Guessing that config was lost, i tried to connect to that wifi network and configure the sonoff again. 192.168.4.1 is the default IP. When i access this IP from my phone or PC, A page appears with just the password field.

Does anyone know what password should be entered here? When i connected the first time when i flashed, it took me to the config page directly, no password was asked apart from the wifi password configesp.

Please help.

try the default password:

Code: Select all

configesp
or perhaps, try your wifi password

Either you configured an admin pw in the initial setup or it is empty.
If none of these work reset to defaults: short rx and tx pins and apply power for a minute, power off, remove jumper and start from scratch.

Thanks, I later looked at the source code and figured that 192.168.4.1/login is the default page it is taking me to for some weird reason, but the wifi options page is at 192.168.4.1/setup.

I tried connecting to the wifi from there but, it was not connecting for some weird reason. After spending lot of time without luck, i erased the flash following instructions here. http://www.pratikpanda.com/completely-f ... sh-memory/

Once that was sorted, i reuploaded ESP and things are looking good for now. Last time, things went haywire once i added MQTT broker details, will see what happens this time around.

Had the same problem with ESPEasy firmware. Did work fine last night, when I tried to connect this morning it was asking for
password which I did not set for sure. Nothing did help and I did this thing with shorting Rx & Tx and now cannot access it at all.
Did you really tried that?
Any option to recover?
Right now I was trying to restore firmware using ESP download tool and binaries from their github and it reports serial port baud rate errors.
