Volkszaehler support

#1 Post by andig » 24 Nov 2015, 18:15

Hello folks,

my name is Andreas from Germany. I'm on of the developers of the volkszaehler.org project- an open source smart meter. Looking for WLAN-enabled ESP cores I've run into your sweet little project- aiming to log data using the very simple volkszaehler json API.

Starting with the emoncms controller I've made good progress but am confused stuck now where I need to have the device carry a custom UUID that will link it to the backend. Could you kindly give me a pointer how to make "UUID" a configurabe field per device if "Volkszaehler" is selected as controller?

For now I've only created a new 008 controller for that purpose...

Cheers,
Andreas

@kr0815 and me have meanwhile built volkszaehler support on top of ESPeasy. If anybody is interested I could cleanup the code and release via GitHub.

What is still missing to make it fully workable though would be URIs instead of IP addresses. Could this change be made in the ESPeasy core?
