Forum search could be a lot better (actually broken now)

Hiya folks,
After having been 'away' for a while I have to refresh my memory regarding configuring my esp. Unfortunately searching this forum turns out to be a real pain. I searched for (without the quotes): 'ntp server', 'time server', 'send data'
the forum didn't allow me to search using any of those words. Really?? Now I know phpBB has about the worst kind of search support of all forum systems out there but I read somewhere that it can be fixed somehow. Perhaps someone with a little php knowledge can fix this and make the forum searchable for semi-noobs like me?
