Multi Sensor Possible?

#1 Post by TommySharp » 20 Oct 2017, 14:34

Hi All,

Before I spend too much time learning about ESP Easy I thought I'd ask some quick questions based on what I'm trying to achieve.

I'm trying to build a smart "Night Light" based on the wemos D1 mini with a number of sensors attached.
Can anyone tell me if it's going to be possible to have a wemos D1 mini with the following attached and have it so that I can interact with it using MQTT?
  • DHT22 : Temp and Humidity
    Light Sensor
    Motion Sensor
    LED : WS2182
Also is it possible to only have to upload a firmware once and from then on I can update using wifi?

Absolutely yes, as far as you use a supported set of sensors for what concerns LDR (light) and PIR (motion)...
Also yes to your last question, only 1st firmware shoudl be load via FTDI, all updates can be doen via WiFi using OTA (Over The Air...)
