MQTT Import and EasyFormula

#1 Post by BaGRoS » 29 Nov 2017, 00:55

Mathematical operations do not work properly. Adding or subtraction, because I only checked it.
I send 5 via CloudMQTT, I want to add 2 unfortunately the result is still 5.

Where should %value% come from?
What is its input?
Normally, you should include the devicename and parameter name, but what should you expect?

I guess it should be something like the temperature reported via the MQTT sender, but where do you define what value to use?

I would expect something like "%TEMP%+2"

%value% is from https://customer.cloudmqtt.com/instance for test I send numbers 5, 4, -5...
I test %TEMP%-100 and not working.
I am doing this because MQTT Import cannot take a negative value, for example -5. I was hoping to add 100 somewhere, and here I will subtract 100 and I can only send positive values. Unfortunately, mathematical calculations do not work.

Don't worry, with that speed at the moment all bugs will be fixed until 2050.... or not....

Well bugs are fixed quite fast at the moment, only problem is "you" -users who find bugs- outnumber the bugfixers ;)
And Christmas holidays are coming, which hopefully gives a bit more spare time to program :)
