Question about Configuration file (Config.dat)

#1 Post by Vic20 » 17 Jul 2018, 09:23

On what versions of ESP-Easy are the config.dat saved files useable?

For Example, If I have a setup that is running well on a ver 2.0 build, can I flash my device to the latest MEGA build, load the config.dat saved under version 2.0 and go on from there? ..Or will there be problems?

Indeed, is the config.dat useable between MEGA releases? ..or indeed any other versions' releases? where does the interoperability end?

You should be able to load a old config file but it has been some hiccups due to added settings to that config file structure. Please do a proper save after checking the settings (i.e. please update the location information to long/lat = 0 if you don't want to use it).
