Running on battery

#1 Post by ulfh2018 » 27 Oct 2018, 21:18

I have two ESP8266 wich must be running on battery. I am using 3.2 volt rechargable batteries, 3500 mAH, and I want them to keep alive as long as possible. I am usine DTH22 on the same battery and feeding the power via 3.3 volt and ground.

Any good ide what values I should use for Sleep awake time, Sleep time and Interval?

Maximum sleep time is a bit over 1 hour.

Awake times depends on what systems and network you are using. I am using around 15 seconds. Ultimately only testing will tell you how short a time you can use. On many networks the awake time can be reduced by setting a fixed IP address.

We are experimenting with even longer sleep times. Not sure of the exact maximum time but we're talking hour(s) longer. We'll see in future releases if it's stable enough.
