how to correctly flash D1 mini Pro

Hi,

I'm going to use with Domoticz and ESPEasy the D1 mini with an RFID reader to activate/deactivate an alarm.

I wanted to have the battery shield, but it looks like then I either connect the USB to the battery shield or to the D1 mini, as they are not "interconnected" if I want to reflash it, etc. It is minor problem of course, I can make two holes, one for each USB in the case ...

However, what it doesn't make sense is that the D1 mini Pro already has the battery connector and charging circuit, and is actually cheaper than if you buy the D1 mini + the battery shield.

I don't know if the extra flash (it has 16 instead of 4 MB), will be used at all, but considering the price, I guess it make sense that in next releases a specific 16MB version is also compiled, or I just should flash the 4MB and it will work the same?

Still not used this work, but after having read about it, looks fantastic, so thanks for making it!

Thanks!

afaik D1 Mini Pro does *not* have a battery connector/manager, it's just with more flash memory which is not used (as per my knowledge) by ESPEasy...

Not sure if we are talking about a different product then:

I can see the conector in the pictures and diagram and also in features:

Lithium battery interface, 500mA Max charging current

Yes the new Lolin "Wemos D1 mini Pro" is actually equipped with a battery connection. Also bridging pads on the back.

By the way, it's totally undeliverable that Lolin is using the same name for a completely new design. Sure they bought the Wemos company but use a new name for God's sake! :?

The new Lolin produced Wemos D1 mini Pro do have that battery connection. The Wemos produced one did not.
