ESP-01 more gpio pins

#1 Post by PimDroge » 20 Jan 2019, 10:23

Hi all,

First I would like to thank the devs for this create piece of software.

I've managed to get it working on my ESP-01 (bought on AliExpress) and got an DHT11 working on GPIO2.
However i wonder if there is a way possible that i can let communicate with an UNO or MEGA board connected and also use those GPIO pins i.c.w. ESPEasy?

What I mean is, that i can have the DHT11 DO pin connected to GPIO13 and have the ESP-01 read it's data from that pin.

Reason for this is that i wish to have 433mhz transmitter connected but also a DHT11 and more modules connected.

Mind I'm still a noon concerning these kind of things.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. sorry if posted in the wrong section.

Kind regards,
Pim Dröge

The ESP-01 i have:

Hello,

basicallyit is possible to solder a thin wire to the ESP chip directly.
But that needs a very thin soldering iron and calm hands, otherwise you'll damage the ESP.

Another way: If you disable the serial port in advanced settings it iy possible touse the Rx-Pint as GPIO-3.
With that you can use the DHT-11 on GPIO 3.

In case you really need GPIO13 you should use another version for the ESP, a NodeMCU or similar.

Thanks for you reply. I was afraid this would be the answer. Guess I'll see if I can buy some NodeMCU's.
