Problems with MQTT Import

#1 Post by PederStoltz » 03 Mar 2019, 16:34

Hello,

I trying to use MQTT import with ESPEasy Mega 2.0. The MQTT broker is a Home Assistant, and I'm able to send MQTT messages to GPIO ports. But I can't seem to receive any MQTT messages on the MQTT Import module.

This is the setup on the import-module and the message I'm trying to publish from MQTT.fx:

MQTT import is it's own MQTT client. That means that the entire topic you have in the settings is the topic you send your values you want to import.

In your case: publish to mqttcmd
ESP Easy Flasher [flash tool and wifi setup at flash time]
ESP Easy Webdumper [easy screendumping of your units]
ESP Easy Netscan [find units]

Thank you for answer. I tried the setting like this, and it still doesn't change the value. Does import MQTT use the same broker as the the ESP?

I looked at your settings once more. You have set the topic to temp. No slashes or anything.
