stopping web page from opening after sending http command

Hi all
Ive been working on these units for a week or so and have it pretty much set as i need it, its setup in a home automation application using AdvancedHmi to send out commands to the various devices.. Im using the "http://192.168.1.188/control?cmd=GPIO,4,1" command attached to a button on the AdvancedHmi page to activate the esp8266 over the home network, but every time i send the command from the Hmi screen a command infomation web page opens over the top of the AdvancedHmi page, is there a setting or extra command i can add to prevent the page from opening...
