ESPEASY

#1 Post by Naji » 21 Aug 2019, 08:47

need some help reflashing my esp8266. The first time I tried I was successful, but managed to mess things up by setting all the io to low.

I tried reflashing, but it seems it remembers the original configuration. I tried erasing, loading blank bin but was not able to get it working similar to my first successful attempt....

So, how do I start the whole process from scratch, I initially used com4, 1024, 120 settings to flash.

You should try a later release instead of the R120.
ESP Easy Flasher [flash tool and wifi setup at flash time]
ESP Easy Webdumper [easy screendumping of your units]
ESP Easy Netscan [find units]
Official shop: https://firstbyte.shop/

Maybe there is also the "fail safe" option present in R120, which allows to reset to factory default.
If (at boot) the ESP detects a short between RX and TX, it will issue a reset to factory default.
