Newbeee - wants to use ESP Easy on a sailing boat

#1 Post by zuchi238 » 05 Dec 2019, 22:26

Hi,

Some facts:
- Got my hands on ESP8266 D1 mini
- Understand Arduino a bit but read about ESP Easy, thought it would be easier to connect to Raspi (incl Openplotter) on my boat.
- Found out how to flash and was able to flash my D1
- But now I can not find the AP Wifi to finish the configuration (=connect to my home Wifi)
- ;(

Do not know where to start, as I have re-flashed the card 4 times by now.

Hope anybody (much smarter) can briefly use his brainpower and put me on a "fixit" path.

Thanks,

Bart

Hi!
You normally should see some new AP starting with ESPxxxx. Is this the case?
You may also want to have minimum debug connecting to USB port with e terminal (either with Arduino IDE, Platform IO or any terminal like Putty). I'm pretty sure that knowing that's happen inside will help debug.
Hope this helps,

The included flasher may also help in setting the WiFi credentials via commands sent over the serial port.
