syslog - any chance of configurable port?

#1 Post by JR01 » 07 Apr 2020, 16:58

What about configurable port? For security reasons and using Docker syslog servers, there might be a reason to use a different port than the standard 514 syslog port.

Does anybody else have this requirement?

That was a feature requested a couple years ago. Still not implemented, so feel free to bump it:

If you don't mind compiling your own ESPEasy then edit the port value in the source code. It is hard-coded in the syslog() function found in the Networking.ino file.
