OTA Update

Hello all,

i try to do an OTA Update from this:

Build:⋄ 20104 - Mega
System Libraries:⋄ ESP82xx Core 2_6_0, NONOS SDK 3.0.0-dev(c0f7b44), LWIP: 2.1.2 PUYA support
Git Build:⋄ mega-20191119
Plugins:⋄ 79 [Normal] [Testing]
Build Md5: 5a5e49d565d371cb46fee8115b2117
Md5 check: passed.
Build Time:⋄ Nov 19 2019 22:05:36
Binary Filename:⋄ ESP_Easy_mega-20191119_test_core_260_sdk3_alpha_ESP8266_4M1M.bin

to this:

but after 11- 13% upload it crashes and i need to power cycle the unit.

Any ideas ?

Perhaps it is caused by mega-20191119. The releases during that time period had WiFi issues.

But be mindful that your old version is a [TESTING] branch with 79 plugins. The new version you have chosen is a [NORMAL] branch with 46 plugins. To safely switch branches I suggest serial flashing blank_4MB.bin before installing the new branch. All configurations will be lost, so be prepared to re-enter everything.

I've had similar issues, but only with a very specific setup.
From my Chromebook it was next to impossible to upgrade any ESP node via OTA if both the ESP and the Chromebook were connected to the same access point.
Switching to a computer connected to a cable and the update was working fine.
Tried it later with another ESP node and also updating from a newer build and the result was the same.
Upload stalled somewhere and thus the unit had to be manually rebooted and it booted the old firmware again.

tomorrow i will try it by ethernetcable with my laptop.
otherwise i will do it from scratch and rebuild the settings manually
