Other way to get value of a var in minimal 1MB

#1 Post by Micha_he » 01 Mar 2021, 10:31

I use the 'hard_other_POW_ESP8285_1M' image on my Neo CoolCam plug.
This image has no sysinfo-page and no page for a log. The serial interface is not reachable, while it's in operation.

Is there a chance to get the current value of a variable %v1%, which is modified with a rule, with the web-interface (e.g. the command-box) ?
Like 'get,%v1%' or 'echo,%v1%'.

You could send the logs to a syslog server?
Or share the value to another node via p2p and use it there to send it to a display on the other node?

Too complicated. I use only a quick solution to check the value while design a rule...

I've found a workaround.

A command "%v1% produce an error 'Command unknown: xxx', but replace the '%v1% with actual value.
Not nice, but it works.
