Thermal printer as attachment for ESP8266?

#1 Post by mkotek » 15 Mar 2016, 16:22

I am thinking about connecting thermal printer (like the ones available below 30USD via aliexpress) to ESP8266 and using it for printing various messages. Has anyone tried this? As far as I understand, this is like printing to LCD/OLED screen.

I saw at least 2 on hackaday.io just search esp8266 printer. Getting it on ESPeasy is something else entirely.

I have meant ESP Easy of course. In general, this should not be complicated to achieve, but I wonder if anyone tried.
