ESP32 Easy?

#1 Post by data » 20 Feb 2017, 10:05

Has anyone here already his hands on the ESP32 module and tried porting ESP Easy to it?

They are currently on sale/preorder at banggood for around 11US$:

You should mention you've posted an affiliate link - I'm fine with that but let readers know it. ;)

I've seen them way cheaper from china.
Or for about the same price shipped from germany: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Espressif-ESP32- ... 2176225110

Thank you for the ebay-Link. I wasn't aware they're available for such a price already in DE.

Prior to posting, I just had read a link at Hackaday where they mentioned that the chip itself
is available for as low as 3.60US$ but the boards are around 20€ and I had not verified the price myself.

I think the $20 mark applies to dev boards with usb/uart bridge. I recall seeing modules for around $6 but can't find them again.

Hi, i got one from the_JinX from the SHA 2017 badge project.

I will try and see how difficult it is to get it running on espeasy when im done with all the other changes for espeasy v2.

keep in mind that the esp32 is a bit of overkill for our project: usually all the stuff we want could be done with the normal cheaper esp.
