#1 Post by helio58 » 18 May 2017, 20:15

Hi ,
I need same advise.
I m using a Nodemcu v1 ,Espeasy v2 .
Im using 1 IR emitter but i need
2 differents gpio say gpio5 and gpio4.
Will I damage the Nodemcu if I connect gpio4 and 5 with the emitter?
Thanks

It should be fine
Domoticz on Raspi 2 -- 14 ESP units (hacked Sonoff,NodeMCUs, Wemos, self-built units) running with RC140- Mega 2.0.0 dev8

hello,
I'm just curious: Why ?
more current ?
Anyway, I'd not short 2 pins that could be set as output and be in opposite states.....
If you have to, use diodes to avoid shorts

Using the IR to control the "heat pump" with the Heatpump plugin "Gpio4"
And want to use the IR to control the TV with the build in Infrared Transmit."Gpio5"
Have test it works :)
Thanks

It should also work if you configure the same! GPIO in both plugins and connect the IR to the one GPIO
