Output voltage from NodeMCU V3 esp8266 too low for DHT22?

Good evening,

I'm trying to use a DHT22 with 4.7 kOhm pull up resistor on a [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NodeMCU]NodeMCU V3[/url]. Using a multimeter to check the output voltage of several NodeMCUs I have seen that some of them do not have an output voltage of 3.3 V. Most of them where measured with 3.26 - 3.29 V. I believe this voltage is too low as the DHT22 requires at least 3,3 V to operate accordingly.

Is the a possibility to compensate the low output voltage? Or do I have to use a 5 V power supply to supply the NodeMCU board and the DHT22? But using 5 V on the DHT22 may destroy the GPIO pin of the esp8266, right?

My intention is to have a small device running ESP Easy firmware to use DHT22 to measure temperature and humidity and sending the values to a webserver for further processing.
