Shelly plug s

#1 Post by tage » 03 May 2020, 22:34

Hi
i have put espeasy to a shelly plug s https://shelly.cloud/shelly-plug-s/and got most of it to work
used this guide when flashed https://faulty.cloud/blog/shelly-plug-s-pinout
i used this firmware https://www.letscontrolit.com/forum/vie ... php?t=6681 only one i have found with hlw8012/bl0937 sensor in.
im not sure but i think the memory is like shelly 1 (2mb) worked with hard_Shelly_1_2M256.bin also.

Code: Select all

Energy (AC) - HLW8012/BL0937 [TESTING]
GPIO → SEL: GPIO:12
GPIO ← CF1: GPIO:14
GPIO ← CF: GPIO:5

Button GPIO:13
Relay GPIO:15
Red led light GPIO:00
Blue led light GPIO:02
it is a tempsensor in it but no temp sensors in that firmware so i i can´t try that.
would be nice if hlw8012/bl0937 is added to hard_Shelly_1_2M256.bin so it is possible to update ota .
some strange values sometimes but i´m not sure how to calibrate mostly showing around 230volt.

So in short, you want also a 2MB build for the "POW" version?

You can indeed flash a build for a smaller flash to a larger flash chip. (the other way around not for obvious reasons)
One day I hope to have a generic "one size fits all" build, but that's not possible right now.

Please note you will loose the stored settings when switching between builds using a different flash layout.

what i understand is HLW8012/BL0937 or plugin P076 under test builds?
and there is only 4mb flash there?
i have no problem to use smaller builds just a little hard when programing the shelly.

Already implemented it... like 5 hours ago :)

Can you test this test build?

Thx !!
worked perfect
acted litle strange on the other build so i put an empty 2mb flash first before the new one .
i haven´t find out what temp sensor it is yet.

Good to hear it worked.

I could not find any confirmation on the flash size of this Shelly version, so I just took your comment on the flash size and made a build descriptor for it.

Let me know when you found out more about the temp sensor.

At least upgrading is now a lot easier when using the 2M layout.
You can also upgrade by using .bin.gz files, so the 1.5M space for sketch + OTA can hold builds of roughly 800 - 900 k (depending on the compression ratio of the new image you try to load)
