ADS1115 and Wemos D1 mini: 2 inputs OK, 2 inputs inconsistents

#1 Post by steph5975 » 01 Jul 2020, 19:46

Hello!

I'm new on this forum so let's first greet everyone from this great ESP makers community!
I'm getting mad with my efforts to use ADS1115.
I've tried everything with different boards Wemos, ads115 and still same results. :(
even the working analog inputs are showing results but at a wrong port (ie A0 measured at A2 port....)
I'm trying to use it with soil sensors but regardless the input (tried to ground or connect 3,3v directly to inputs) I'm getting inconsistent values on 2 of my inputs...

would you have any idea to suggest to make me go forward with it?

many thanks!!

Can you post a schematic drawing of how you plan to take the measurements?

Have you looked at the datasheet of this AD converter? https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ads1113.pdf

What's needed is between what pins you try to measure the voltage and how the sensors are powered. (especially the ground signal and pull-up resistors)
