Hi,
anybody any idea, how measure outside ambient sound ?
Cheap solution
- sensor must be for outdoor
- ideal analog output
Thank

If you can somehow convert the volume to an analog value representing the loudness, then it is very easy to act on it.
However, if it needs constant sampling at high frequency, then there isn't a ready ESPEasy plugin right now.

Re: Measuring ambient sound outside
I would like measure outside ambient noise, but i think normal mics are not good for long time outdoor use... ?
Maybee something as this https://wiki.dfrobot.com/Gravity__Analo ... KU_SEN0232 but with different mic.. ?

You could have a look at something like this: http://www.redcircuits.com/Page97.htm
Or this one: https://forum.arduino.cc/t/how-to-get-c ... -db/517945
And another one: https://blog.yavilevich.com/2016/08/ard ... -analyzer/
I think an electret microphone can be mounted in such a way that it won't suffer a lot from the weather.
You can also make a "tunnel" to redirect the sound so you can have the mic opening at the bottom so no water will get in.
