Support for multiple accesspoints

#1 Post by jgrad » 29 Aug 2016, 22:12

Hi,

I started using ESPEASY in my project after implementation of support for rules.

I havent found yet any possibility to configure more than one WIFI accesspoint in ESPEASY - is this possible in available firmware versions?

Not yet that I know of! It may be possible if you hard code them yourself, but then I think you would also have to have some way to tell it to try each one for a specified amount of time...

At home I have most of the APs syncronizeed with the same SSID and password. When I take ESPs to work to test or work on the the server side programming I use a WD MYPassport wireless as a WiFi hub. Instant battery powered network. Add a Pi 3 with Mosquitto/Node-Red/SQLite and I have a controller/server too. It all fits in a nice little plastic box.
I use my cellphone to quickly set the network, it remembers the password, which is probably not a good thing...
