Odd numbers in the log

#1 Post by Drum » 19 Sep 2016, 14:36

Is there a reason these numbers come up in the log?

From 2 different units, same number always comes up in the same unit.

1952998401

1952998400

Some kind of error?

Thanks,

I have a third unit which is exactly the same, same version and sensors, but no odd numbers.

those numbers are the time ESPEasy is up in milliseconds.
Look in the mainpage for the uptime in minutes and multiply it by 60*1000 and you have about the magic number from the log.

Hi Costo,
This is not the number that leads the events, this is a number which appears frequently, and does not change. For 1 unit it is 1952998401 and for another unit it is 1952998400. I would think it has something to do with the IP address, The IP for the unit with 1952998400 is 192.168.60.101 and for 1952998401 is 192.168.60.102 This is the only sequential numbers I can find in these 2, but I have a third unit exactly the same software and sensors, but no number.
I plugged in a 4th unit, different hardware, adafruit feather and it comes up with 1953527051.

It comes up about every time the last one clears the screen. It is a number that keeps coming up on in the log so it is always visible. It seems to be somewhat important....

Then I do not know about what numbers you talk, I have never seen numbers like you are describing in in my log only the uptime in milliseconds is what I observe.
Maybe they are so infrequently that I have missed seeing any of them.

If it was showing up, you would notice it seems to appear at least every 10 log entries or so as it is always showing in the log.
As soon an there are enough entries for it to scroll off the screen it appears again at the bottom. Completely different numbers today,
It does not matter if the Soul moisture plugin is active or not, I have it showing up on a completely different unit, a Adafruit feather with PWM and OLED.
Here is what they look like:

6307 : MQTT : Connected to broker
6310 : Subscribed to: /ESP12SM-04/#
6310 : INIT : Boot OK
6310 : INIT : Normal boot
36311 : WD : Uptime 0 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28872
36439 : Soil Moisture value: 0
37461 : DHT : No reading!
1768903424 :
66312 : WD : Uptime 1 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28808
96313 : WD : Uptime 1 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28792
96616 : Soil Moisture value: 859

Log
516327 : WD : Uptime 8 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28832
517142 : Soil Moisture value: 831
518164 : DHT : Temperature: 26.00
518164 : DHT : Humidity: 41.00
546328 : WD : Uptime 9 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28504
576329 : WD : Uptime 9 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28832
577206 : Soil Moisture value: 831
578228 : DHT : Temperature: 26.00
578228 : DHT : Humidity: 41.00
1952998401 :
606331 : WD : Uptime 10 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28832

No idea why, but the number in the first log is different, but after it appears to always be the same as the number in the second log, both logs are from the same unit.

Ik heb zoiets nooit in mijn logs gezien, maar ik zie in jouw log:

6307 : MQTT : Connected to broker

Ikzelf gebruik uitsluitend het Domoticz HTTP protocol, daarom heb ik het vermoeden dat dit fenomeen MQTT gerelateerd is.

edit: sorry I forgot this was the English part of the blog so here the translation:

I have never soon something similar in my logs, but I see in your log:
6307 : MQTT : Connected to broker
I use exclusively the Domoticz HTTP protocol that is why I think this fenemenon is MQTT related.

And just to make it more interesting, I noticed something I had not noticed previously, the number appears to be inserted after the fact. It suddenly appears in the log at the top, but after the initial boot.
Log level is 2...

Code: Select all

255 :
263 : INIT : Booting Build nr:131
1150 : WIFI : Connecting... 1
6161 : WIFI : Connected!
6208 : MQTT : Connected to broker
6212 : Subscribed to: /ESP12SM-03/#
6213 : INIT : Boot OK
6213 : INIT : Cold Boot

A few seconds later

1768903425 :
263 : INIT : Booting Build nr:131
1150 : WIFI : Connecting... 1
6161 : WIFI : Connected!
6208 : MQTT : Connected to broker
6212 : Subscribed to: /ESP12SM-03/#
6213 : INIT : Boot OK
6213 : INIT : Cold Boot
36214 : WD : Uptime 0 ConnectFailures 0 FreeMem 28872
36269 : DHT : No reading!
37249 : Soil Moisture value: 757
