Mqtt gpio control from domoticz

#1 Post by cherowley » 24 Nov 2016, 18:00

Hi!

Ok, I've tried but I can't seem to get this working.

I've used the mqtt helper but no joy.

Anyone got a few step by step idiot instructions perchance? :)

It's the length of the Domoticz MQTT messages.

See the changes in this branch (I'm also running the build in Platformio, instead of the Arduino IDE): https://github.com/ToniA/ESPEasy

Without Platformio, you need to hardcode the value of MQTT_MAX_PACKET_SIZE in the PubSubClient.h, and use the same value here: https://github.com/ESP8266nu/ESPEasy/bl ... er.ino#L49

I'm now using 384 bytes, that seems to be enough.

Ah many thanks :)

I thought I'd downloaded the libs and the pubsub was "patched" already as mentioned in other posts - that's what I get for assuming!

Cheers :)

Can you use MQTT topic to control a device?
I am trying to control a relay with MQTT helper.

Thanks for any advice!
