ser2net & ESP8266-7 - cannot receive anything R147_RC8

#1 Post by sedlacek.david » 24 Jan 2017, 13:42

Hi all, for first, thanks to the developers who are behind this project. Unfortunately the maintainer ended up with this project but correct me if Im wrong.

I've been playing with UART since I'd like to connect my eBus boiler to a network. So my problem is that I'm able to correctly send data from the ESP but I cannot receive anything. Unfortunately there is no way to check error messages.

It works ESP->pc but pc->ESP doesn't work. Wiring etc is ok because I can regularily use the serial console. CAN ANYBODY test it please :?:

Firmware image R147_RC8

Thank you David

I'm waiting for a reliable solution as well.
It looked very promising, but at the end I moved for a similar specific task to EPS-Link. Unfortenately ESP-Link doesn't and will never support any sensors.
So I wasn't able to to combine sensor and UART-features together and decided to go with two ESP.

This is not helpful directly to you, but I can just give you a second option. But on the other hand: If you really need UART only, than ESP-Link is a better alternative. It runs absolutely stable.
Just like ESP-Easy with sensors and the other stuff, of course. :D

Today found some time to play with ESP and it seems it works OK apparently. Just be sure to enable serial port in the web management.
