#1 Post by sander815 » 23 Feb 2017, 11:22

is it possible to count pulses from such a kWh s0 meter? I don't mean the led thas flsahing, but the puls that comes from the s0 bus.

I want to be able to monitor 3 strings of SolarPanels in domoticz. Right now i am using an arduino to upload the counting to pvoutput, and then back to domoticz.

Hello,

I have a similiar module, just no time to test that yet.

In general:
The output is an "open collector", so it should be no problem to connect the counter to an ESP.

The schematic is easy:
"-" output of the Counter to ground
"+" output of the Counter to a GPIO of your choice.

Remember the "open collector" part: an internal pullup resistor should be activated with the ESP,
or just connect a 3,3 ....10 KOhm Resistor between the GPIO pin the Counter is connected to and 3,3 Volt from the ESP.

Yes, it works.

S0- to gnd of the ESP, S0+ to the pin, like gpio12.

The wiki is your friend
Domoticz on Raspi 2 -- 14 ESP units (hacked Sonoff,NodeMCUs, Wemos, self-built units) running with RC140- Mega 2.0.0 dev8
