Disable blue LED

#1 Post by Moria8 » 29 May 2017, 19:41

Hello,

I used EasyESP version 2.00 and connected a DHT22 to D4 (GPIO 2). Due to the reason that the sensor in the bedroom I would like to globally disable the blue LED. I already saw and forum entry saying that in order to disable the blue led I have to set D4 to low.

Unfortunately this is not possible because the DHT22 is connected to this port and unforunately this was the only port I found where I don't need a resistor.

Does anyone have an idea to how I could disable the blue blinking led.

Should we add an option that activates the internal pullup for the DHT?

Not sure, what you mean with this question.

Would it solve the problem to move the DHT22 to another GPIO and set the current GPIO to low ?

Keep things easy...

I'd just put a little piece of black duct tape on the led...
The led is usefull sometimes for diagnostics so i wouldn't want to remove it or otherwise "kill" it.

Usually the problem doesn't occur often with an ESP in a closed case.

If that is a reasonable replacement for an external pull-up, I would appreciate that option very much.
