ppd42ns dust sensor

#1 Post by hschroyen » 19 Feb 2018, 15:23

Hello,

I was a bit surprised not to see any guidance for this ppd42ns dust sensor.
The hardware seems relative easy to setup but how should I configure it.

Anyone using this in espeasy?
Any guidance for me to start off?

Thanks in advance

Bump,

No body any input?

Looks to me a decent "cheap" sensor.

That one does only output 1 micron particles and has PWM output.

There are already 2 types supported:
The SDS011 does serial output (and disable laser between measurements), reports 2.5 micron and 10 micron particles, for about US$ 17.
The Plantower PMSx003 series do 1, 2.5 and 10 micron and the newest series also measures formaldehyde. These Plantower sensors range in price from about 18 - 35 euro.
