Esp easy Mega - NodeMCU v3 - HC-SR04

#1 Post by jmwtyler » 21 Aug 2018, 18:51

hy,

when i create a distance device with HC-SR04 with esp easy mega and when i check the box enabled, after a restart, reboot my esp is unable to connect on wifi.

After erase flash, nex installation lula firmware and with esp easy R120, it works whell with the sensor HC SR04.

I think there is a software problem with ESPO easy mega and HCSR04 ?

Can someone help me ?

Thanks

Yes there is currently an issue with the distance sensors.
Please use build 20180606 for this sensor.
See https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEasy/issues/1575

Try a newer build. We had some problems in older builds.
ESP Easy Flasher [flash tool and wifi setup at flash time]
ESP Easy Webdumper [easy screendumping of your units]

The sensor he tries to use, is not working in a later version. That's why I adviced him to try that build.

I wish i had found this thread about 7 days and 50 beers ago. i don't regret the beers but the days were frustrating. I have now successfully installed the espeasy mega 060618 image onto my feather huzzah and am getting the readings accurate. wooohhoooo.
Now to work out the mqtt reading into my hassio build. Any easy guides recommended here. I'm just a newbie tinkerer and the language is sometimes a challenge with programming skills for this 50 plus fella.

Hi,
Just an idea and could be a big ask, maybe a locked thread on "issues with releases", (especially proven ones). I personally had issues with http send parsing with version mega-20180722 and proved that it works with other versions, and there is recent thread "error with updates" on ver mega 20180822.

If there are all in one place, might save a lot of head scratching by learning from others' experiences with different versions, and perhaps easier for developer to locate issue bugs.

Cheers,
Ken
