power meter - optical port listening

#1 Post by woocashewski » 31 Mar 2019, 00:04

hi.

I want to get data from electic power meter using optical port which is using IEC1107 IEC61107 standard.

every project i've seen on internet is using blinking led - which i've use to use for long time - and it's very uncertain, and now - when i've got PV installation producing power - it's impossible to distinguish which blinks are from which direction of power in meter.

i've bought this module - https://www.ebay.pl/itm/Optical-Probe-K ... 2839730279
solder it together - without serial to usb part - to get raw serial data trough it.

and now the question - can anybody help me to get this work with espeasy?

it's known, that power meter should get data after sending command to it ( "/?!" ) but every power meter has different set of OBIS codes avaible to read from (depending of what's enabled by power supplier) - is it possible to anyone to make a plugin to read some set of data? i'm too short in programming ;P

please help, i'm certain, that such a plugin will be widely used, because blinking led mode sucks a lot.
