Where is the plugin neopixel candle

#1 Post by Dondolo » 02 Dec 2019, 18:48

In the Relase mega 20190305 the plugin neopixel candle was still included. :o
After that, don't find it in the Relase anymore. Do I do something wrong? Does the plugin need to be installed afterwards?

Hmm indeed, they are not included.

I have to think of a way to make a proper selection for plugins.
Do you have a suggestion what use case these plugins should have in a build?

I use this pluging during the holidays beginning with Halloween until after New yearsday. For Halloween I have it light my Jack-o'-lantern together with an mp3 player (dfplayer) and some relay's to actuate some scene's based on a press on my doorbell. For Christmas this moved to a Santa figure next to my front door also accompanied with the dfplayer.

What I meant with my question about the use case was mainly to get a good idea of what subset of plugins would be useful along with the neopixel plugins.

This video is from Halloween last year and also one in the dark.

This is the board I used this year, no video from it in action. Under the button is a test script using rules.

I have another esp in my utility closed and that among other things detects and switches (silent mode) the doorbell. Using Node-Red I randomly play a tune after the doorbell is pushed.

Could you make a buildcase at least just for the Candle? I'm currently in the middle of building a couple of these candle's and would like to have a recent firmware for them.

I enabled the NeoClock and Candle plugin for the "normal" set to make this build:
