Arduino IDE staging release 1106 has issues...

#1 Post by Martinus » 15 Sep 2015, 17:36

As you may know (if you have used our wiki tutorial), we're currently using the staging release for Arduino ESP board manager package. This gives us about 10k of additional RAM compared to the stable release. Latest ESP EASY releases utilize some of this extra free RAM available.

This went well for some time, but a few days ago, the staging release was updated to 1106 and we have lost more than 5kb available RAM and also gained some compiler warnings.

To get back to a previous staging version 1084, you can enter this into the preferences tab of your arduino IDE:

Code: Select all

http://arduino.esp8266.com/versions/1.6.5-1084-ga39ce29/package_esp8266com_index.json
This should get you going again.
