I have an ESPEasy Relay to switch on my multi media devices in the bed room. I'm using ESPEasy’s CPU eco mode in order to reduce power consumption from 0.75W to 0.25W. (Sound like nothing, but makes a difference, if you can many of these in the household, all running 24/7/365).
Problem in this case is, that despite an external antenna, the Wifi signal in my bedroom is pretty weak (the ESPEasy D1 mini in that corner of the bedroom is at -72 to -77 db signal strength ... or should I say „weakness“). It used to work kind of OK with CPU Eco mode, but recently something must have changed, which has made the device unreachable. If I bring it a bit closer to the Wifi router (e.g. to -62db), perfectly working again.
My question: Is there a good strategy to keep the device in CPU eco mode (or otherwise reduce power consumption), while ensuring Wifi reachability? Like through a combination of Software settings in the Advanced Settings? (Delay of a second or so are acceptable, as long as I don't lease connection entirely).
Avoid losing Wifi connection while using CPU Eco mode? Best strategy?

I think disabling periodical WiFi scan will already solve some issues (in newer builds this setting will be off by default)
"Send with Max TX Power" is perhaps also a good one to enable.
"Force WiFi B/G" does give you some headroom in the acceptable RSSI values.

Perfect. Works like charm. Thanks a lot.
Is the ESPEasy P2P Mesh you've mentioned here already implemented? If not: When can we expect it?

Still working on it as it is not as stable yet as I would like to have it.
Part of it is related to the same WiFi issues as you were experiencing, but slightly worse...
