AM2320 on I2C bus

#1 Post by beic » 21 Apr 2017, 14:56

Hi there,

Anyone has a AM2320 sensor setup on the I2C bus?

I tried with pullup resistors, but the ESPEasy doesn't report any new I2C address found.

Any help, please!

Kind regards,
Viktor

p.s. The sensor is working with one wire setup with DHT22 device selected.

Anyway, I wrote my own Plugin for it, regarding the I2C bus.

Also, the ESPEasy will not detect the sensor on the I2C bus by "I2C Scanner" for some reason, but the sensor is working on the 0x5C address.

hi, will you mind to share the plugin?

Already included to the default build by krikk, anyway you can use it with the DHT22 lib too as a single-bus!

what about connection? I don't think DHT22 and AM2320 are pin compatible... do you have any info about it ?

Have a look at the datasheet: https://akizukidenshi.com/download/ds/aosong/AM2320.pdf

On page 3 you'll find the pinout of the AM2320.
On page 21 is a schematic for using it as a one-wire device.
