ESPEasy nighly builds

#1 Post by psy0rz » 03 Jan 2018, 01:19

Since there is quite a lot of development going on in the mega-branch, I decided to create a release-bot.

This bot will automaticly create a new binary release if there are any changes on the mega-branch. This allows people to test new features and fixes without the hassle of compiling. (bot will run at 4:00 CET)

To summarize we have two branches:

v2.0 branch: This is the one in which we're only fixing bugs to get a stable release. I've updated the readme file: https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEas ... /README.md

Releases are triggered manually.

Lastest release: https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEas ... .0.0-dev13

mega branch: Here we are constantly adding new features, as well as the fixes that went into v2.0. I've also updated the readme file: https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEas ... /README.md

Releases are done automaticly ever night.

Latest release: https://github.com/letscontrolit/ESPEas ... a-01022018

Later we will create a v2.1.0-branch from the current mega-branch and start on making that one stable.

Releasing dev13 and introducing the nightlies is a good start of the year!
Thank you for all all the effort put into this very nice piece of software.

This is great, since now hopefully more people will test it.
Lets hope bugs, or other undocumented features will get noticed earlier, which makes fixing them easier.
