Hello,

i have in my house an old electric meter with a rotatingwheel,
my wheel rotates 600 times for 1 kw

i have the hardware part ready but i dont know how i setup it in ESPEasy
i make a sensor pulse counter and bekome 3 values
Count
Total
Time

witch value do i set in espeasy to show it correct in domoticz?

I use Delta/Count as type. You then need to use the formula: %value%/600 in you case to make the pulses into kW.

Depending on the delay your ESP Easy will report how many kW has been used during that time (Delta).

Is that formule for count, total or time?

Count (as I tried to state in my previous post "Delta/Count").

Delta is the new Count as of 2.0.0 (when it is released).

thank you
what kind of formule do you have for time and total?

What do you need them for? Total is the total pulses since last power cut and reboot. Time is the total time (I think) of the pulses. I don't use them myself.

If you want to use Total you use the same formula as for Count.

Use the incremental counter in Domoticz and the Delta setting in ESP Easy.
Domoticz is a single value counter device so you can only send one value...

So it is not possible to calculate the time between the pulses to the actual consumtion and the count for the total watts ? Like a p1 cabel can?

If you lets say have the delay for 60 seconds between the reports you could use the Count (aka Delta) with this formula to present consumption (speed) in kWh:

%value%/600*60

Thus

%value%/100

But this is only momentary consumption, not the true value since that need to take the Watts used during 1 hour. Not a snatched value. So report the Watts as suggested in the first post I wrote and do the sum on the Domoticz side.

But the actual usage must normaly calculate by the time between the pulses or do i have it wrong? Is it possible to send that to domoticz?

is there already another solution to monitor my electric meter with esp-easy and domoticz?

with actual usage calculated on time between the pulses?

Hello,

I have the same question. I use incremental counter in Domoticz and Delta in ESPEasy. Have only ran it a couple of hours but it seems to give me the correct usage for each hour.

BUT I too want to have the momentary value as well to be able to see what my house uses in just this instant. I have tried all the meters in Domoticz and non of the others seems to give me correct readings...

But calculate the time between the pulses is not actual usage. It is usage between last two pulses only.
With heavy load, its close to actual usage, but less power - less actuality of data.
Imagine what happens, when power goes to zero. Sensor wait for last pulse, wait, wait, wait ....
You never know in first seconds ( minutes ) , that power is zero now.

Have you looked at Plugin 112 in the playground ?

I believe this is what you are looking for.

How do we use the plugins that are not part of the standard version?

Not so sure to fully understand initial request, but I'll try to bring my 2 cents: As this is Domoticz, and it saves last time you wrote a value, I would suggest writting a small script that save last value, computes current value - last value/current time - last stored time to get the average consumption within the interval.
