In search for more than 12 tasks / devices

#1 Post by mrwee » 18 Nov 2018, 20:40

Hi,

I'm currently working on an ESP project where I'll need 16 or 24 GPIO inputs. Knowing that ESP Easy has a max. of 12 tasks/devices, I was just wondering of those who modded the source-code to support more, are experiencing any issues, or if there is another project out there, which can cope with 16 or 24?

If used as an output a GPIO pin does not "require" a task to function. I think that the status can also be used in the rules in the newer MEGA builds too. Not sure of the complete rules syntax for that tho.....

Hi,

Sorry for not being detailed enough, I only need inputs.

you could use an ESP32. 32 task are allowed there.

30+ ESP units for production and test. Ranging from control of heating equipment, flow sensing, floor temp sensing, energy calculation, floor thermostat, water usage, to an interactive "fun box" for my grandson. Mainly Wemos D1.

ok, seems like ESP32 is the way to go. Just ordered a couple, then I'll see.

Please keep n mind that ESP Easy for the ESP32 is still in the experimental stage.
