Detect power consumption with ESPeasy

#1 Post by Ult1mat3X » 23 May 2019, 04:44

Hey guys,
I was trying to create an electrical meter with ESPeasy and an IR receiver like descripted here.

I’m getting IR impulse, but it is not really detecting 1kWh / 10000 impulse. Up to the poti adjustment it is detecting more or less impulse. Is somebody running a similar setup successfully?

I know volkszaehler is available, but I don’t need all the functionalities. I Only what to count the impulses and show the absolut power consumption as I do it for gas.

If you have a digital scope, you could use that to get a current vs time plot. Then, if you want total consumption, just integrate.
