MQTT Reconnection problems

#1 Post by valbuz99 » 14 Oct 2019, 12:10

hi

i have 3 sonoff's with espeasy with ESP_Easy_mega-20191003_normal_ESP8266_1M.bin running.
all connected to my iobroker mqtt server.
sometimes they lost the connection to the mqtt server. in the log of the esp's:

MQTT : Intentional reconnect
MQTT : Failed to connect to broker

Restarting of the esp's or the broker doesn't solve the problems.

when i deactivate in the controller settings: MQTT enable, reboot, activate, reboot. They connect again
this on all esp's!

Is there any other way to log the error or has anyone a hint for me?

thanks
pat

Hmm, that's strange.
If you power down the ESP units for longer than the set timeout in the MQTT broker, does it then properly reconnect?
Typical timeout on the broker side is 10 - 15 seconds.

Change the IP address of what?
The controller or the node?

Is the MQTT broker in your own network?
Do you have it configured by host name or IP?
Could it be the IP of the broker has changed? This could be an indication the cache used for a DNS lookup may be flawed.

No, the IP of the Broker (ioBroker) is fix.
