Sonoff Basic is Rebooting on WiFi Connection

#1 Post by kumaxx » 31 Oct 2019, 20:38

Hi, All.

I have a problem with one module Sonoff-Basic.
Prior to that, he worked great for two years, but now, when connected to any WiFi network, it begins to reboot.
In access point mode, it works great.
I tried different versions of the MEGA firmware.
On third-party firmware it works fine.

Here is what issues in UART:

Could you try this test build I made yesterday? https://www.dropbox.com/s/7cbfjvg5ytlqc ... 8.zip?dl=0
It does have a fix for handling WiFi connections, which may be related to the things you're seeing here.

Hi,

I have a very similar problem.

Unit was working fine. Then i noticed, that it was crashing often and needs a power switch to recover.
I then flashed the unit via ftdi today and now getting this reboot loop:

I also tried a firmware from february.

My unit has a 8285 chip. So i flashed ESP_Easy_mega-20191104_normal_ESP8285_1M

Flashing the old version back does solve your issue?

I see the reboot reason is an exception, which is often a programming error.
Can you give a bit more information on what configuration it is using?
