ESP8266-14 supported?
Hello,
i am new to ESPEasy and wonder which modul ist the best choice.
So far, i thought the ESP-12E is the best choice concerning price/performance?
However, i just saw that there is a cheaper ESP-14 version available.
Does anbody know if that modul is supported by ESPEasy?
I guess with the additional microcontroller on-board it is possible to finally use the ESP8266 for battery powered devices that last really long?
thanks

Re: ESP8266-15 supported?
Do you mean the esp-14? I cannot find an esp-15.
I do not know what the advantage of a 14 is over a 12, but it is a completely different processor, 8 bits with only 8 k flash.

Hello Hans,
this one works ! Got some of them already.

looks like an esp12x on an wemos pcb.
cannot find important difference with my eyes to an esp14.
there are nearly a bunch full of ESPs...

I see one important difference when I look at the esp-14 schematics as found on Google.tozett wrote:looks like an esp12x on an wemos pcb.

Esp14 has not even one gpio pin of the 8266 chip connected to the outside world.
The only 8266 pins used are RX and tx which are connected to the stm8s and not acessable from the outside.
So I think the esp-14 is unusable with ESPEasy.
Re: ESP8266-14 supported?
The ESP-14 only makes sense if you want to experiment with the STM microcontroller that's on board.
