Esp connects only with Wifi after flashing

My ESP8266 has worked wonderfully to this day. But (possibly after a short circuit) it no longer boots. However, I can reactivate it by re-flashing it. After flashing, it runs perfectly as long as there is a USB serial connection to the PC. However, if I put it back on the normal power supply, it will be dead. The power supply is perfect, that cannot be the problem. Does anyone know advice?

Well, to be really, really sure, can you try another power supply?, as, from where I'm looking, it seems it is not proving sufficient power to your ESP...

Already done and checked. The module has enough Power (5V).

Well, we'll need a bit more info then.
- What version of ESPEasy was initially installed?
- What version of ESPEasy do you have installed now?
- What short-circuited that made it stop working?
- What plugins do you have active?
- And how are the sensors for these plugins connected? (wiring-type + gpio's)
- Are there any output's connected, like relays etc.? and on what ports?
- Have you really replaced the power supply to verify, or only measured and confirmed to have 5V? (sorry to ask again, but the power supply is always a suspect, especially after a short-circuit)

And also; How do you power it when not powering it via the USB?
A photo or schematic sketch would also be helpful.

What module do you have?
NodeMCU / Wemos D1 mini / etc.
