Wrong Analog Values with ADS1115

I have the following problem: Analog values that are delivered via an ADS1115 sometimes behave paradoxically. E.g. the cistern (measured by an infrared sensor) rises when it rises, although it sinks. The same problem exists with the humidity sensor. After a period of time, the values will always adjust again. The problem mainly occurs when the values change. Does anyone have any idea what could be the reason?
