LORA and ESP-NOW

#1 Post by Zidanoff » 12 Dec 2023, 10:38

Hello friends! Please clarify, can I use a pair of esp32 with LoRa TTN - RN2483/RN2903 as a receiver-transmitter for a long distance, and then relay the receiver with lora to the esp-now network for a group of 10-20 esp32? We need to send commands across a long distance for this bunch of devices, and for them to hear the base device with lora, execute all together one gpio command (id or addressing is not even necessary) and return their temperature sensor data.

Nope, receiving data via LoRaWAN has not yet been implemented.

Also keep in mind that you cannot send data via LoRaWAN.
You can only send a downlink packet within the RX-window after a node sends an uplink message.
So it depends on the interval a node sends an uplink (which is also received by the gateway) to send data, which can take quite a long time.

Also the ESP-now implementation hasn't been finished yet.
