Generic remote support?

#1 Post by KluthR » 11 Dec 2024, 17:07

Hi! :)

Code: Select all

20;00;Nodo RadioFrequencyLink - RFLink Gateway V1.1 - R51
10;version;
20;01;VER=1.1;REV=51;BUILD=01;
10;status;
20;02;STATUS;RF433/868=ON;NodoNRF=OFF;Milight=OFF;LivingColors=OFF;Ansluta=OFF;GPIO=OFF;BLE=OFF;Mysensors=OFF;
I have a remote as shown is my attachment:

This is often used as a remote for those Chinese Diesel heaters. So I bought a RFLink Kit from Nodo Shop with ESP32-C3 as wifi bridge. All is working, except that the remote does not produce any data.

I have to enabled both debug modes to get something.

So now Iam here to ask for support..?

If I press minus, I get:

Code: Select all

20;05;DEBUG;Pulses=66;Pulses(uSec)=180,660,630,150,150,660,630,150,630,150,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,630,150,6990;
20;06;DEBUG;Pulses=58;Pulses(uSec)=660,150,150,600,600,150,120,600,120,600,150,600,600,150,150,600,120,600,600,150,120,630,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,630,150,660,150,630,150,6990;
If I press Plus, I get:

Code: Select all

20;07;DEBUG;Pulses=66;Pulses(uSec)=210,660,630,150,150,660,630,150,630,150,150,660,630,180,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,630,180,630,150,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,6990;
20;08;DEBUG;Pulses=40;Pulses(uSec)=660,150,120,630,600,150,120,630,120,600,120,600,600,150,120,630,120,630,600,150,150,630,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,660,150,660,630,150,150,660,150,660,150,6990;
Is there anything I can do to help supporting this?

Thanks! :)

Check if you have both debugging modes enabled in RFLink. This is necessary to capture all pulse data when pressing various buttons on the remote. Focus on buttons like Minus, Plus, Power, or any others.
Document the output to compare patterns between different commands.

Hi,

well if you only see it in debug mode, than it is not supported.
You could capture debug from all buttons and email them in as described on rflink.nl and hope for it to be implemented.
BTW, AFAIK, these remotes are universal and programmable.
So if you just want that remote to do something with your smart home you could learn it 433mHz commands that work with rflink.
